WhatsApp

WhatsApp conversations are well-suited for brief questions such as:

  • Can you suggest an instructional technique that would be a good fit for this content?

  • What are some ways to differentiate the way I present this material for my students? 

Email

Teachers are welcome to email the Help Desk for requests like:

  • Reviewing assignment prompts or rubrics​

  • Creating or editing instructional materials

  • Brainstorming lesson ideas or strategies

Zoom Sessions

A Zoom session is the best option for more involved discussions like:

  • Setting up a new instructional technique

  • Troubleshooting a classroom management situation

  •  Brainstorming a lesson plan

Lesson Planning

The Help Desk provides guidance and support for teachers who want to improve their lesson planning. By embracing the principles of backwards design, including big ideas and essential questions, teachers will be equipped to plan goal-oriented lessons that build knowledge, develop skills, and positively engage students with their Jewish heritage. 

Creating a Positive Learning Environment

Building positive classroom culture is an essential step towards a succcessful learning environment. Teachers will be empowered to create their ideal environment by tapping into their personal style and modes of communication. Using SEL principles and strategies derived from programs like Love and Logic, teachers will gain tools to develop and maintain a classroom where all students can thrive. 

Instructional Techniques

Teachers who are eager to build up their repertoire of classroom activities and techniques will find a wealth of ideas and opportunities at the Help Desk. Building upon their experiences and natural abilities, teachers will gain the tools to implement a new technique that will diversify their routine and engage their students. 

Project Design

Effective projects and assessments take time and energy to build. The Help Desk provides teachers with assistance in designing projects that reflect learning goals, meet curriculum standards, and engage students positively.

Access for one teacher to WhatsApp and email services, plus two Zoom sessions per month.

Staff Bundle

Access for up to four teachers to WhatsApp and email services, plus six Zoom sessions per month

As needed

One-on-one Zoom sessions  scheduled as needed. This option does not include ongoing Whatsapp or email service.
